This bird seen at Ferniegair (NS75) on 29th June 2009.
I've got it as a juvenile Meadow Pipit but I'm not sure.
On second thoughts, I think it might be a Dunnock... Any ideas?
14th July 2009: Have now changed my mind on this being a Dunnock on having seen a good few young ones around. Still no real idea as to what the photo shows!!!

Certainly looks like a juv Meadow Pipit, can't get any real detail on the body due to the light though.
ReplyDeleteThanks John - I'm 99.99% certain that it is a young Meadow Pipit.
ReplyDeleteHi I have a difficulty in identifying a bird a I saw. Could you help me. Is it a just an ordinary duck or a comb duck?
ReplyDeleteI have linked to my page.
It is on the page I linked to. Would a comb duck be in the UK? A female comb duck is it the only bird I could find that looked like it?
